  7. SoundCaser will create a "Font" folder that contains sound resources. Unlike
  8. legitimate System 7 Sound Suitcases, you cannot drag sounds in and out of a
  9. SoundCaser suitcase. You must use the SoundCaser mover application.

  15. ◊This program is distributed as Shareware: if you like it or use it please honor
  16. the shareware system by sending $5 to the author at the address above. Since
  17. collecting international cheques is very expensive, please send cash only. If
  18. you MUST send a cheque, keep in mind that the banks will gobble up more than
  19. half of it.

  22. Getting some (usually very few) bucks is what you write shareware for, but
  23. getting a note, a postcard or anything else is a lot better than getting
  24. nothing. I'd like to know how far this program has gone, so remember that you
  25. can do something nice even if you don't have a couple of $$$ to spare.

  27. •  WHAT IS IT? 
  28. ◊SoundCaser is a quick hack I wrote to take my sounds off the System file under
  29. System 7.1. It works pretty much like the old Font/DA Mover but it moves sound
  30. resources intead of fonts.

  32. In fact, creating a new sound file will create a font suitcase with a custom
  33. icon that makes it look like a sound suitcase; moving this suitcase inside
  34. System 7.1's Font folder (inside the System folder) will make the Mac believe
  35. it's a font suitcase, so it will be opened and all its sounds will be available
  36. in the Sound control panel right away. All this could be done manually with
  37. ResEdit, but it's a lot easier to do it with SoundCaser.
